TruePoker, Score Poker and
ProCappers Configuration Steps
I installed Poker-Spy but I
am not getting any information when I am playing
The table view window does not come up:
-
Did you start Poker-Spy? (OK - We had to ask!).
If not, you can do so by clicking Start | All Programs |
Poker-Spy | Poker-Spy
-
Are you playing Texas Hold'em? Poker-Spy does
not support other forms of poker like 7 card stud and Omaha.
-
Is logging configured correctly for your poker
room client? Follow the step by step instructions in the Poker-Spy: Poker
Room Selection dialog to verify your settings.
You can also verify your settings from Poker-Spy by selecting
View | System Information from the Poker-Spy Console
window. Make sure the Logging Folder path is the same as the path
configured in the poker room client.
Note to TruePoker, Score Poker and ProCappers players: Verify the log path in both the
poker room Lobby window and the Table windows to ensure they are the
same. Refer to the Configuration
Steps below.
-
Did you turn on logging? For some poker rooms,
like TruePoker, you must click the Log Play checkbox in
the Logs window every time you
sit down at a new table.
-
Is the poker room logging the current game to
disk? Some poker rooms do not log all games to disk. For example,
Party Poker does not log WSOP tournaments. Check your poker room
hand history folder to see if your table is being logged.
The table view window comes up but I do not get any
detailed information on each hand:
-
Did you enter your Nickname correctly? If you
do not enter your Nickname correctly, Poker-Spy will not know who
you are. Note: The Nickname is case
sensitive.
-
Are you playing any hands? Poker-Spy provides
detailed hand information for hands in which you are dealt cards.
TruePoker, Score
Poker and
ProCappers Configuration Steps
If you are having difficulty getting Poker-Spy to
work with TruePoker, Score Poker or ProCappers, please follow these configuration steps.
Step 1: Ensure you have configured the
poker room with a log path in which to
log hand history.
Setting the Log Path in
TruePoker, Score Poker or ProCappers
-
Open your Poker Room Client and log in.
-
Click the Menu button in the Lobby and select
Preferences. The
Preference dialog box will appear.
-
In the General tab, set your Log path
by clicking the
button and browse
to the location you want to save the log files.
-
Exit the poker room client.
-
Restart the poker room and log in.
Note:
TruePoker, Score Poker and ProCappers have the following problem: If you change/set the log
path in the Lobby window it doesn’t change/update the log path in the
Table Window Preferences. This is why we ask that you exit and restart
the poker room client.
Step 2: Set the log path in Poker-Spy.
Setting the Log Path in Poker-Spy
-
Start Poker-Spy.
-
In the Poker-Spy: Poker Room Selection dialog. Select
TruePoker, Score Poker or
ProCappers from the
Poker Room dropdown list.
-
Select the Game Type. (Play Money or Real Money)
-
Set the Log Folder to match the path set in
the poker room client for logging. Click
the button and browse to the location you set
the poker room to log.
-
In the Nickname field, enter your Nickname. This is the name that other
players see when you are playing at TruePoker or ProCappers.
Note: The Nickname is case sensitive.
-
Click OK.
Step 3: Sit at a poker table and log play.
Note: Each time you sit at a new table at TruePoker,
Score Poker
or ProCappers you MUST set the Log
Play option.
Setting the Log Play option at the Poker Tables
-
In poker room client, go to the table where you wish to play.
-
Sit down at the table and select the Log Play option in the top right
corner of the Logs window. (If the Logs window is not open click the
Logs button in the top left corner of the Table window.)
Note: TruePoker, Score Poker and ProCappers do not allow you to log play unless you are sitting at
the table.
Note: DO NOT select the Log Play option as the Table window is being
loaded (wait until you are sitting at the table). TruePoker, Score Poker and
ProCappers have a bug
that will cause the poker room Table window to crash if you click on the
Log Play option before you sit at the table.
-
Start playing. The Poker-Spy Table View window will automatically
appear once you have played one complete hand.
-
If the Poker-Spy Table View does not appear after completing a hand
check that the Logging Folder and Nickname set in Poker-Spy matches the
poker room settings. You can view these settings by selecting View |
System Information from Poker-Spy Console window.
